Where2Next
We are Debra Aaron and Valiant Vetter. Originally from Indiana and Illinois with family still in both locations. We left the Chicagoland area after living there most of our lives there. In 2010 we moved to East Texas to get away from the brutal Chicago winters and grow our own food. We started an organic farm and called ourselves Piney Woods Ranch. After 12 years of raising pigs, turkeys, chickens, and fruits/veggies, we missed our freedom of being able to travel together. Animals like to be fed every day and plants and crops need constant attention; we could never leave our farm alone. The physical labor required was also taking a toll on our psyche and aging bodies. Time to have some fun…. time to retire for the second or third time, for good.
Our original plans have been revised a few times due to “life” getting in the way. But we finally started traveling the summer of 2022 with our first camping trip to the western United States in our new (2022) Oliver Travel Trailer #1029.

Fast forward to July of 2024, after much procrastination and several trips under our belt, we have finally started our blog. For the past two years our travel has taken us up and down the Eastern Seaboard, into Canada, the northwest, the southwest, the southeast, and to Europe, Greece, and the United Kingdom (Italy, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, France, England, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Scotland, and Ireland). We regret not starting our blog earlier but better later than never.
We have a lot to learn and experience in this new chapter of our lives. Hopefully you will enjoy reading about our experiences and what we learn about traveling full time: living in a camper, living on our sailboat, and travels to other parts of the world. Feel free to ask questions and share suggestions.
Wednesday July 6, 2022 we left our sailboat (another story) in Mandeville, Louisiana packed our camper and two cats up and headed north for cooler temperatures. We hope you follow along.
